The Big Muddy Film Festival, now in its 38th year, is coming to Chicago for the very first time, March 18th & 19th at the Museum of Contemporary Art. Join the excitement as we celebrate SIUC and its Big Muddy Film Festival festival right here in Chicago with The Big Muddy Film Tributaries. The festival weekend will kick off with an SIU Alumni Association Reception Friday evening and four film screenings throughout the day on Saturday. Based at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, the BMFF has become one of the best-respected, wholly independent, community-focused film festivals. The Big Muddy Film Festival is the oldest student-run film festival in the nation, and we look forward to bringing together old friends, alum, as well as students looking to join SIUC, especially the Department of Cinema and Photography.
